I think we ran into this problem as well. We couldn't get the users to "return" back to the lesson from the survey. We also opened it in a new window - but then there was no way to make the completion of a survey a "required" step to completing the learning path.

Although this isn't nearly as nice, is it possible to add a quiz instead of a survey? Or perhaps to build the survey into the scorm package?

Hi,

I'm trying to add a survey to a learning path, but it doesn't work. I've added it as a link, but the problem is that after filling out the survey, nothing happens. A solution seems to be to let the link open in a new window or tab, however this doesn't feel logical. I'm afraid that users won't go back to the original tab. What was your solution?
Thanks,

Femke

Sorry for the really delayed response on this!

Are your lessons scorm compliant? If so what version?

I am curious how you got bookmarking to work in a SCORM program. The left nav has a list of slides in order that does not seem to track with what the learner is viewing. For example, on the left nav bar slide one will be bolded but we are looking at slide 4. When we bookmark, it bookmarks to slide 1, not slide 4.

We are looking to use Sharepoint LMS but during our trial we found that we couldnt use bookmarking ... could you please let us know how you managed to achieve this?

Thanks,
Stuart

nice article. how long before TMobile stops this, or worse yet local internet carriers start blocking ports.

Add Google voice to the mix and save on your text messages too.

Hmm that sounds sort of strange. Firstly, selecting Only their own in the advanced settings shouldn't "grey out" any options in that menu. I have a few questions :

1 - Are you using MOSS?
2 - Do you have anonymous access turned on?
3 - Do you have the lockdown feature turned off?

Setting read access for only your own shouldn't block a user from adding a new item. I'm pretty sure this works since the screen shots were taken from a live survey that I created this way. Please feel free to drop me a line, or if you reply here, I'd be more than happy to assist.

The steps does not work. When I set the "Only their own" options in step-1 the option for "Add Items", "View Items" are disabled.

However if i set the Read access = All Responses i get the "Add Items", "View Items" in step-3 but it serves no purpose since the anonymous users will be able to see all the responses.
